Welcome to my latest obsession: Matcha.
Every blogger out there on the gram is taking super cute pics with their Matcha Lattes and I am too much of a basic bitch not to get my hands on one!
Some of you may not even know what Matcha is. Matcha IS green tea. But instead of steeping the tea leaves in hot water, they grind the dried leaves into a fine powder. Matcha has a slightly sweeter taste that green tea, and can be blended into basically everything.
Now, living in rural Pennsylvania it's a bid harder to get your hands on one due to our slim choices in adorable coffee shops and tea houses (thank god for Saints & Rothrock). Starbucks DOES have these on their menu, but after some careful research, I found I could easily make my own at a fraction of the price, sugar, and calories.
I am currently obsessed with this iced version as the temperature heats up outside.
ICED GREEN TEA LATTE (STARBUCKS DUPE)
2 Cups of Unsweetened Cashew Milk
5 Ice Cubes
1 Spoonful of Matcha Powder
2 Packets of Stevia
Pour all ingredients into a BlenderBottle and shake until all of the "Matcha Bits" are dissolved.
And that's IT! So easy.
For me, I personally buy this Matcha Powder, this Cashew Milk, and this Stevia.
